Replacing the antenna rod

21.02.2020General instructions how to replace the rod of electrically operating aerials.
Extend the antenna out as far as possible by turning the radio on. Loosen the nut from the antenna telescope so that it and the plastic cable can be pulled out.
Warning: Remember the direction in which the teeth of the cable point.
Turn the radio off briefly and then on again. This will release and eject the entire antenna - do not try to release the antenna by pulling on it yourself. The ejection electronics switches itself off automatically after about 12 seconds.
Insert the new plastic cable with the correct alignment of the teeth into the antenna holder until a resistance can be felt.
Turn the radio off and push the cable further into the antenna mount so that it can grip the ? teeth of the motor.
If the motor can`t grip the cable, turn the radio off and on again and rotate the cable 180 degrees.
If the cable is gripped, lead the antenna telescope in the mount and screw the nut on.
Tighten the nut and check the funtion of the antenna.
