21.12.2021Changing the bulbs in new vehicles is not always self-explanatory. We show how to change the low beam bulb step by step on a Volvo V40 model year 2013.
Display: Low beam light defective!
First remove the headlight... that sounds worse than it really is.
Pull out the bumpers of the bonnet.
Use a Torx screwdriver (T30) to remove the screw.
Loosen the retaining pin clockwise...
...and take it out.
After some careful shaking back and forth you can pull the headlight out to the front.
Disconnect the plug from the housing. Attention: Do not pull on the cable!
Press the safety hooks together...
... and remove the cover.
Now you see the bulb.
Remove the plug from the lamp socket.
You can remove the bulb by pressing lightly upwards.
Insert new bulb and reassemble in reverse order.
