SKANDIX - Your quality choice in VOLVO and SAAB car parts

For the following Skandix parts are needed:

- lamp
SKANDIX Art.No. 1018553
- license plate light seal
SKANDIX Art.No. 1027277

Besides you´ll need:

- connector kit 1-pin 1015430
- ring connector 1017408
- screws M4 1039681
- lock washers 1023031

Crimp the flat connector to the power cable and the ring connector to the ground cable.

Put the male connector (Flat blade) into the female connector housing part.

Remove the lamp glasses with the carrier seal from the housing.

Now install the lamp and reassemble the housing with the gasket.

Crimp the female socket (Sleeve) to the power cable of the vehicle harness.

Put the female socket (Sleeve) into the male connector housing part.

Prepare the housing seal for the cable gland by pushing a hole through the designated area with a pointed tool.

Put the seal over the back of the housing and lead the cable through the hole in the seal.

Plug together the connector housing parts (male and female). Then pull the connecter into the inside of the trunk. It should not be outside of the car.

Now you can mount the light housing with two screws.

Now make the ground connection by connecting the ring eyelet with the car body. Here, for example, you have two possibilities:

a) Fasten the license plate light with 2 screws only and fix the ring eye in the free middle hole with an unpainted steel self-tapping screw (Skandix 1072871).

b) Fasten the license plate light with 3 screws and screw the eyelet under one of the screw heads. For this purpose, however, the rear plate must be stripped of the paint under the ring eyelet. For conservation you can apply wax or grease after tightening the screw.

Once installation is completed check the function of the light.
