Here we show the necessary adaptions to install the radio frame into the lower dashboard of the Volvo 240 / 260 from 1981 and later.

Starting point

Remove the lower dashboard section.

Carefully cut out the backside of the storage tray.

Attention: do not cut off the brackets.

Remove the backside completely.

Smooth the edges.

Attach the modified storage tray to the lower dashboard section...

... and insert the radio frame from the front side.

Now you can mount your radio. Finished!
