22.12.2021We show the dismantling of the injection valves on the example of a Volvo 940 with B230FT engine.
Remove the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator and unscrew the retaining bracket screw from the intake manifold.
Unscrew the two retaining screws of the fuel distributor pipe.
Remove vacuum hoses that are in the way. Now pull off the fuel distributor pipe together with the injection valves upwards.
Caution: It can be very tight, make sure that you pull out the pipe evenly and do not bend it.
Lever off the mounts.
The valve can be turned inside the pipe.
Pull off the injection valve. Caution: remaining fuel will run out!
Replace the valve or the seals (2 pcs. for each valve).
Before installaion apply suitable lubricant to the seals, e.g. Silicone grease.
