As you should start:

• Remove the old headlining, number the roof arches and pick up the 2 clips of the rear window.
• Check that all shark teeth bite correctly to reuse them, otherwise they will need to be readjusted.
• Check if the wind deflector on the door needs to be replaced.

- Slide the roof arches in the appropriate sequence (numbering) into the loops (guides) in the head liner and hang the head liner in the vehicle. Wrap the ends of the arches with some cloth to prevent them from rattling while driving.

- Center the head liner. Start the assembly in the middle of the rear window. Fold or wrap the black plastic band and press it into the groove in the sheet metal, you may have to fold it several times until it fits and is no longer visible.

- Work from the middle outwards. At the corners the plastic band must be carefully cut in so that it fits easily around the corners! ATTENTION do not cut into the seam! Press the clips into the groove directly behind the seam at the sides of the corners.

- Work along the sides of the rear window, make the same cuts at the lower corners as above! Do not cut into the seam! Do not nail the sides (refer to old headliner).

- Now stretch the head liner towards the windscreen and fix it there temporarily. Stretch the head liner until it lies loosely against the front line. It is recommended that the headliner be mounted at room temperature so that the vinyl can be processed with full elasticity. When stretching, a hairdryer or hot air blower can be used CAUTIONLY.

- Now the head liner is stretched to the sides, center the head liner but do not attach it yet. Attention: Check the sufficient stretching by pulling up to the `shark tooth rows`. This work is necessary to adjust the head liner at the roof arch in such a way that a visually coherent picture is created.

- Start by fixing the sides in the middle of the B-pillar. Work alternately in the same direction on the right and left side, always approx. 5-30 cm to the rear and front. Wait with the attachment of the front line in order not to put too much strain on the material when attaching the sun visors. At the end of the rear side window, the curve must fit well into the serration. Attention, the material must be fastened to the windows with some play so that the tension does not become too strong when nailing. The use of the HL blower can also be helpful here.- Nail the sides to achieve the optimum tension. Fit the sun visors and lamp and fix the front edge of the head liner. If there are wrinkles, they can be removed with the HL-blower.
