Initial state: The reflector lost its coating and has dull areas: MOT failure!
Carefully remove the clips around the glass with a screwdriver.
Warm up the headlight lens evenly with a heat gun until you can just barely touch it.
Remove the headlight lens. It may be necessary to pry carefully (!!!) with a flat screwdriver.
Removed lens.
Carefully pull the old reflector consecutively out of its retaining lugs. It may need a bit of force to do this.
Removed reflector
Push the new reflector evenly onto its retaining pins. You want to press as long as you can hear a click, then it is engaged.
Fixed, new reflector.
Put the lens back in place.
Put all of the retaining clips back on.
