23.11.2021Universal instructions for sealing the steering gear on Volvo classic cars.
Carefully lever out the old oil seal.
Pull it off.
Clean the seal seat.
Lubricate the new seal with oil and insert it.
Repeat step 1-4 on the other side.
Carefully lever out and remove the sealing ring.
Lubricate the new sealing ring with oil and insert it.
Loosen the 4 hexagon screws.
Now you can remove the cover including the shaft.
Remove the old gasket and clean the sealing surface without damaging it.
Apply a thin layer of grease to the new gasket and put it in place.
Insert the shaft, position the cover and tighten the screws. Finished.
