Loosen the tank drain screw and drain the remaining tank contents into a suitable container
Tighten the tank drain plug again
Loosen the hose clamp at the connection between the pipe of the filler neck and the tank
Detach the connection hose from the old tank
In the trunk, remove the vent hose cover and then remove the vent hose
Unscrew the cable of the tank sender
Detach the fuel line from the tank and unscrew the connecting piece from the tank
Take out the old tank
Install the fuel sensor in the new tank
Screw the connecting piece into the new tank
Connect the fuel line
Remove the filler neck seal and pull out the filler neck downwards
Exchange the connecting hose between the filler neck and the tank
Change the vent hose
Insert a new tank
Connect the vent hose to the tank
Tighten the clamps
Tighten the tank and the cable of the tank sender
Insert the filler neck and collar
Connect the filler neck to the tank
Unscrew the tank cap
Cover plate must be adapted (only B16)
