Disassembly Center console cover

22.12.2021When the switches for the heated seats, of their backlight bulbs, needs to be replaced, the center console cover must be disassembled. Our car is a late Volvo 940 with automatic transmission.
Take out the ashtray.
Take out the ashtray shelf which also is the Fusebox cover.
Lever off the Clip.
Lever out the cap which is in front of the parking brake handle.
Remove the Torx Screws.
Now you can take off the cover.
Now you can reach the bulb and the switches from below. The Backlight (Illumination of the symbol) is realised by a light distribution bar and one central bulb (Skandix 1008289).
