Clutch Fork Replacement

09.12.2021We show the typical wear on the clutch fork and the correct assembly. The shown parts are from a Volvo 940 with M90 gearbox.
Clutch fork (item number 1007928).
Damage pattern: The ball socket, where the clutch slave cylinder engages, is worn.
Damage pattern: The claws, which press on the release bearing, are also worn. The sum of the material losses and a certain warpage of the fork leads to an incorrect release travel, which will cause problems (e.g. clutch does not disconnect).
Always fit a new clutch fork with a new ball socket (counter bearing in the gear bell housing).
Clutch fork and release bearing mounted.
Release fork from outside. Pressure pin from slave cylinder also available, repair kit 1047467 or 1047468.
