Charger intake hose Turbo charger - Pressure pipe

Saab 9-5 (-10)

24.11.2021

Brief instructions for replacing the pressure hose between the turbocharger and the pressure pipe to the intercooler on the 9-5 TiD with the D308L V6 diesel engine.

The parts described in this Quick Start Guide must always be removed if the pressure hose behind the turbocharger needs to be replaced. The reason for this is mainly the pressure tube screwed to the gearbox, which is located behind the hose.

To be dismantled:
- Intake pipe and hose between turbo and air flow meter. Release the crankcase breather and pull it off.
- Engine covers top and bottom
- Battery and battery base
- Turbocharger heat shield
- Loosen fuse box and put it up a little
- Unscrew the Vacuum can from the turbocharger and fold it up

- Front left wheel and inner fender

- Unscrew the cable holder from the pressure pipe and the nut of the pressure pipe holder on the gearbox. Use a long extension and work from the wheel housing.

- Disassemble the clamps of the pressure pipe and the pressure hose from the Turbo.

Only now can the pressure tube and hose be pulled from the stud bolt and from the lower hose.

Then pull the upper hose from the turbo and remove it together with the pressure tube. Turn the pressure tube and find a position to remove it.

The hose can stick very firmly to the tube, so it is much easier to remove it when the pressure tube is removed from the car.

The assembly takes place in reverse order.
