Belt Lock Replacement
Volvo 121, PV, 140, 164, P1800
23.11.2021Fixed belt lock to be mounted on the transmission tunnel. Only for use with retrofit belts. Replaces the standard belt whips which usually potrude into the seat area. This instruction shows how to bring up both locks to the same level.
Without the modification both locks are in different initial positions.
When it´s done they are on the same level.
Fix the lock bracket in a vise.
Align the driver lock to the passenger side.
Mark the drilling point.
Drill a hole with 4mm diameter.
Cut an M5 thread into the hole.
Put an M5 screw into the hole.
Finished.
The screw holds the lock in the proper position.
Now the old belt locks can be replaced.
