ABS Sensor rear axle

30.11.2021Installation manual for the rear axle ABS Sensor. Connector and cables are somewhat hidden.
Vehicles with one-parted ABS Sensor kit: The connector is inside the trunk, below the carpet, next to the strut bearing.
Unlatch the connector and pull it out. Lift the floor carpet and unclip the panel in the front.
Remove the two lids above the fuel tank.
A rubber grommet is clamped to the rear lid and there the ABS Sensor cables are going outside.
Next to the lid above the tank sensor there is a cable holder hidden. Look below the vehicle floor on the right side. In order to be able to loosen this, the vehicle must be lifted and the tank must be lowered at the front about 1-2 cm.
The tank should be as empty as possible!
Together with the straps, another cable holder is screwed on, which can also be opened.
Now push the cable in from above. When the plug has passed the upper cable guide, you can carefully pull the cable from below and then clip it out on the axle.
Now unscrew the ABS sensors from the brake anchor plate and pull them out.
Before installing the new ones, the holes must be cleaned and derusted until the new ones fit easily into the hole. To prevent damage from rust, the new sensors should be inserted in the hole with a little grease.
Reassembly is carried out in reverse order to disassembly.
