The retaining slots for the clips in the door have often broken out of the loudspeaker panels with age.

Here in detail: The plastic becomes brittle and tends to crumble away, especially at low temperatures.

To attach the repair part, the first step is to remove the square brackets from the panel. A small multitool with a cutting disk is very helpful here, but the speed should not be too high.

If the cutting disk does not reach into the corner, first fold up the slotted part with the pliers.

Remove any remaining burrs with the grinding roller of the multitool...

...and then sand again by hand.

The glued surfaces should then look like this.

First rule for a durable adhesive bond: Always degrease plastic parts and remove any silicone residue.

Use brake cleaner or silicone remover and wipe thoroughly.

Now slide the repair part into position without the speaker cover. Pay attention to the correct side.

Now remove the protective film from the three adhesive strips.

Now place the processed speaker cover in position. Guide it as precisely as possible and simultaneously at an angle over all three gluing points. The adhesive strips adhere very firmly, it should fit exactly at the first attempt!

Now press gently over the adhesive surfaces. - That`s it! The bracket is now much more stable and can withstand removal in winter!
