Spring codes Volvo S60I, S80I, V70II, V70XC (XC70)
You will find the codes on the chassis number plate on the left in the engine compartment (until mid-2005) or on the right-hand entrance (from mid-2005).
The correct line of code is in the bottom line of the right column. The code line is either 8-digit (until mid-2003) or 12-digit (from mid-2003).
Front axle spring code:
The first two digits of the code line, e.g. "2L"
Rear axle spring code, 8-digit code line:
The 4th + 5. Position of the code line, e.g. "28".
Rear axle spring code, 12-digit code line:
The 6th + 7th Position of the code line, e.g. "28".
Suspension springs must always be exchanged in pairs!
This is the only way to ensure that the chassis is safe and flawless
is working. We generally do not deliver individual springs.
Further consequences of a unilateral change:
- Bad steering behavior
- Less grip
- Longer braking distance
- The vehicle is inclined
- One-sided tire wear
