Service instructions:
Even new ignition locks with heavily used ignition switches may experience a slight "sticking" due to the play between the lock cylinder and the ignition lock housing. With careful operation, this is relatively harmless. The "sticking" may disappear after a while as the components become more comfortable.
To completely resolve the problem, the entire ignition lock and starter switch would have to be replaced.
