Spring codes Volvo S60I, S80I, V70II, V70XC (XC70)
You will find the codes on the chassis number plate on the left in the engine compartment (until mid-2005) or on the right entrance (from mid-2005-).
The correct line of code is in the bottom line of the right column. The line of code is either 8 digits (until mid 2003) or 12 digits (from mid 2003).
Front axle spring code:
The first two digits of the code line, e.g. "2L"
Rear axle spring code, 8-digit code line:
The 4th and 5th Position of the code line, e.g. "28".
Rear axle spring code, 12-digit code line:
The 6th and 7th Position of the code line, e.g. "28".
Suspension springs must always be replaced in pairs!
This is the only way to ensure that the chassis is safe and flawless
functions. We generally do not supply individual springs.
Further consequences of a unilateral change:
- Poor steering behavior
- Less traction
- Longer braking distance
- Vehicle tilted
- One-sided tire wear
