An original gearbox cover, where both the gear lever guide and the thread for the gear lever nut were repaired and improved.

The original gearbox cover is completely made of aluminium, as are the two slots in which the steel pins of the gear lever are guided. These slots are getting bigger due to wear. As a result, the shifting becomes inaccurate and the shift lever changes its position - in bad cases the shift lever in 4th gear is almost on the right front seat.

To solve this problem we replace the complete thread with the guide slots with a durable bronze insert.

Skandix 1045094 fits for the M30 and M40 gearbox with long gear lever.
Skandix 1070585 fits for the M4 gearbox.

Caution: Your old cover must be delivered with reverse gear locking plate and spring at the underside.
