Shock absorber Codes Volvo S60I, S80I, V70II, V70XC (XC70):
The code can be found at the Product Identification Plate at the left side of the engine compartment (Up to mid 2005) or at the right entriy (From mid 2005).
Please check the code line at the bottom row of the right column. The Code line has 8 diits (Up to mid 2003) or 12 digits (From mid 2003).

Front axle shock absorber code, 8-digit code line:
The first 2 digits of the code line, for example "1K".

Front axle shock absorber code, 12-digit code line:
The 3+4th digit of the code line, for example "22".

Rear axle shock absorber code, 8-digit code line:
The 4+5th digit of the code line, for example "28".

Rear axle shock absorber code, 12-digit code line:
The 8+9th digit of the code line, for example "8F".

Shock absorbers have always to be changed in pairs for each axle! Only replacing both shock absorbers ensures safe and problem free suspension functionality. We will not deliver single shock absorbers.
