Trim strip set for windshield in Saab 900 convertible

Unlike the sedan and hatchback, the classic Saab 900 convertible (-93) has a bonded windshield. When replacing this windshield, the trim and seal must also be replaced, as they are mounted on the windshield before it is bonded. It is almost impossible to reuse the old moldings. They are almost always destroyed when the windshield is removed because they are glued to it. It is not feasible to replace a cracked windshield without a set of moldings. Due to the angles in the corners of the windshield, even a universal profile cannot be used properly.

We have had the decorative strip set in our range for a long time, partly from remaining stock, but also with our own reproductions. The lower strip has not been available for some time, so that improvisation was usually necessary at this point.

For the new edition of the trim set, we had the connectors reproduced and also had the lower trim manufactured according to the original dimensions. To do this, we had to have a special tool built, which increased the cost accordingly.

We have been having the seal itself manufactured in Germany according to the original pattern for some time now. It has been tested hundreds of times and we have already supplied it to Saab.

The new windshield strip set for the Saab 900 Convertible is now available exclusively in our shop under the number 1024616.
