Wiper arm for rear window wiper for Volvo 850, V70/I, V70XC
25.04.2025
It is not without reason that the rear wiper was fitted as standard in the 850 and V70/I station wagons. Unlike in the sedans, the rear window gets dirty much faster due to the aerodynamics, and water droplets collect much more in the rain.
This is not a big issue in normal driving conditions, but the refraction of light in the dark through raindrops can sometimes be a bit annoying when looking in the mirror. However, when maneuvering, it looks quite different, because station wagons in particular would be able to play off their advantages with a better overview.
A rear window wiper should work reliably for this. However, worn springs on the wiper arm or rusty joints can prevent it from working properly, or in the worst case, it can wipe with “distance” and not even touch the windshield. Occasionally, the mounting eye on the shaft can also burst or break. Then the shaft still turns, but the arm no longer moves.
The vehicle manufacturer continued to supply the wiper arms for these model series for a long time, but some time ago they stopped and no more were produced. Due to the high demand, we first tried to find something suitable, but without success. So we had the wiper arms produced, along with the corresponding cap for the joint and the shaft screw connection.
So that all 850 and V70/l drivers can once again see clearly behind them in the future, the wiper arms are now available in our shop under the number 1071034.
