Piston and spring for oil pressure control valve for Saab 9-3, 9-5, 900 and 9000

The piston and spring of the oil pressure control valve normally perform their service inconspicuously for several hundred thousand kilometers.
The oil pressure control valve ensures that the oil pressure does not become too high at higher speeds and that the oil pan is not sucked dry. The excess oil is then fed directly back into the oil pan if the pressure is too high.
If the piston is worn or coked due to negligent oil changes, the valve no longer works properly, which can cause damage. The same can be caused by a worn or broken spring.
This is usually noticed when an engine is overhauled or a timing chain is replaced; a good engine builder can also determine this from the damage.
Unfortunately, these small but extremely important parts are no longer available from the vehicle manufacturer. We didn't hesitate for long and ordered a reproduction.
One of the last original new parts served as a sample, so the fit and spring pressure are perfect.
The new pistons are now available in our shop under the number 1036506, springs under the number 1055392.

- Saab 9-3 (-2003): all models
- Saab 9-5 (-2010): all models
- Saab 900 (1994-): all models
- Saab 9000: model from 1994
