As has been the case for many older Volvo models over the past two years, a general operating permit (ABG) is now also available for the use of Osram Night Breaker LEDs in the 2014–2017 XC60. The ABG applies to all vehicles equipped with H7 low-beam headlights and the original headlight assemblies.

As with the other vehicles, the headlight’s E-mark is always the determining factor for the ABG. It is essential to verify the test number in the E-mark in advance. You can find a link to the ABG in our shop on all Night Breaker LED bulbs and below this article.

You can find the LED bulbs in our store under item number 1106708.

Pressure Tube Oil Pump for Volvo B18/B20 Engines https://www.skandix.de/en/news/pressure-tube-oil-pump-for-volvo-b18b20-engines/3177/
When overhauling engines in cars like the Buckel, Amazon, P1800, or Volvo 140, problems sometimes arise from minor details that the mechanic hadn’t even considered beforehand. Take, for example, the oil pump pressure pipe, which—in its usual location in the oil pan—shouldn’t be exposed to any harm and is always well-lubricated and protected from corrosion.

But there are exceptions: If the car or the removed engine has been carelessly stored for a very long time in a somewhat damp environment, even an oil pump pressure pipe like this can sometimes become rusty. This, of course, poses a major risk, because if the pressure pipe has even the tiniest hole, the oil pressure drops dramatically. Not to mention that, of course, no engine likes to have rust particles in its oil pressure lines or bearing seats.

Of course, this isn’t the only possible reason for replacing the pressure pipe: The B18 had a different oil pump and a different pressure pipe. Neither is available anymore. Sometimes, however, the oil pump itself is worn out; if the permissible radial play is exceeded or there is too much tooth flank play, the pressure delivered drops significantly.

In that case, the B20 oil pump—which is still available—can be used in the B18 without any problems. However, this also requires replacing the pressure pipe with the one from the B20.

This part has been out of stock for quite some time; when needed, the only solution was to resort to used parts. Since these are becoming increasingly scarce, we have commissioned a reproduction of the pressure pipes for the still-available B20 oil pump.

To ensure that the oil pressure in your freshly overhauled engine is always good, the pressure pipes are now available in our shop under the part number 1018422.

Compatible with all Volvo models equipped with B18 and B20 engines:

  • Volvo 120, 130, 220: all models from 1962 onward
  • Volvo 140: all models
  • Volvo 240: all models with B20 engines
  • Volvo P1800, P1800ES: all models

Set of floor mats for the Volvo 200 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/set-of-floor-mats-for-the-volvo-200/3175/
We’ve all been there: you go for a quick walk in the woods with the dog or pop into the garden center for a few minutes, and suddenly it starts raining. And of course, you end up tracking wet mud from the soles of your shoes into your car—which you’ve just vacuumed. Shaking the mud off doesn’t help; wet forest soil literally sticks to the treads of your shoes and is guaranteed to end up on the car’s carpet.

It’s not just the dirt—the moisture isn’t good for your car either. In addition to fogged-up windows caused by the damp interior climate, water trapped in the carpets and insulation can also lead to corrosion. This often develops in hidden areas and is usually only noticed once it’s already advanced.

Yet there’s a solution that’s as simple as it is well-known: the good old tray mat, which, thanks to its shape and sturdy plastic material, doesn’t let anything through to the carpet. It’s also easy to clean and empty. It really works without spilling a drop into the car; the author of this article has been using these floor mats for years in three vehicles, including a 245.

Now, while most Volvo 240s and 260s are no longer winter cars, they are still valued in the summer as reliable and practical everyday companions. And: Even in the summer, the weather can be bad, and everyday life occasionally presents more extensive transport tasks. There’s no denying that the versatile Volvo 245 is particularly well-suited for this.

To ensure your 240 or 260 stays in good condition for a long time to come: The complete set of custom-fit shell mats based on the original design is now available in our shop under item number 1089333.

Fits the following vehicles:

  • Volvo 240, 260, 262: all models, for left-hand drive

New front brake calipers for the Saab 99 and 900 (pre-1993) https://www.skandix.de/en/news/new-front-brake-calipers-for-the-saab-99-and-900-pre1993/3173/
The brake calipers with the parking brake on the front wheels for all Saab 99 models from 1976 onward, as well as the Saab 90 and 900 models up to 1987, feature a somewhat unique design that was exclusive to Saab in the passenger car sector. Other than that, we are only aware of the amphibious multi-purpose vehicle Hägglunds Bandvagn that uses these brake calipers.

For several years now, these brake calipers have only been available as reconditioned replacement parts; some have since been repaired multiple times and are no longer suitable for reconditioning. There is often simply too much corrosion damage to the individual components. Since a reliable repair of these brake calipers—which are critical to safety—is often no longer possible, we decided to have them completely remanufactured.

We naturally had the reproductions manufactured based on original designs and have also installed and tested them ourselves in a Saab 900 Turbo.

The brake calipers are now available under the part numbers 1003763 and 1003764 for solid brake rotors, as well as 1005094 and 1005095 for vented brake rotors.

Fits the following vehicle models:

Solid brake discs: 1003764 and 1003763

  • Saab 90: all models
  • Saab 900 (-1993): models up to 1987
  • Saab 99: Models from 1974 onward

Ventilated brake discs: 1005094 and 1005095

  • Saab 900 (-1993): Models from 1986 to 1987, all gasoline engines with turbo

Tool for changing the transmission fluid in a Volvo TF80 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/tool-for-changing-the-transmission-fluid-in-a-volvo-tf80/3171/
For the TF80SC and SD automatic transmissions, the inlet port of the transmission oil cooler on the transmission can be used as a drain port when changing the transmission fluid. The vehicle manufacturer’s tool 9997363 is available for connecting to the transmission via a quick-release coupling. It is essentially just a hose that can be quickly connected to the transmission as a drain using the appropriate connector. This drain hose can then be conveniently placed in a container.

The fact that this hose is transparent is intentional: After refilling the oil, the transmission is bled with the engine running and by shifting through the gears. If air bubbles become visible while shifting, oil must be refilled again. This way, you can also perform an oil flush if necessary, but this requires significantly more than the actual fill quantity. Usually three to four times as much, to really flush the contaminants out of the transmission.

To open the necessary screws and caps, you will also need the tools 1025604, 1106849 and 1106850 are still required to open the necessary screws and caps, as well as sufficiently large collection containers, of course.

We have been manufacturing the transmission oil change tool 9997363 in-house for some time now. It is now available in our shop under the number 1024998.

Suitable for the following vehicle models:

  • Volvo C30: with TF-80SC transmission
  • Volvo C70 (2006-): with TF-80SC transmission
  • Volvo S40, V50 (2004-): with TF-80SC transmission
  • Volvo S60, V60 (2011-2018): with TF-80SC, TF-80SCAWD, TF-80SD, TF-80SDAWD transmissions
  • Volvo V70, XC70 (2008-): with TF-80SC, TF-80SCAWD, TF-80SD, TF-80SDAWD

Service kits for oil changes on AOC clutches in all-wheel-drive Volvos https://www.skandix.de/en/news/service-kits-for-oil-changes-on-aoc-clutches-in-allwheeldrive-volvos/3158/
The AOC clutch found in all-wheel-drive Volvos requires regular maintenance in the form of an oil change, including the filter. It doesn’t really matter which generation of the Haldex AOC system is installed. Neglecting this maintenance risks damage to the oil pump or clutch plates.

Then the all-wheel drive will no longer function, and the vehicle will operate only in front-wheel drive mode. It is recommended to perform an oil change every 60,000 kilometers; this will ensure the AOC clutch has a relatively long service life.

Anyone who has ever driven an all-wheel-drive vehicle through snow-covered, hilly side roads in winter weather conditions will not want to do without the safety advantage. And not just that—it also accelerates much more quickly from a standstill, assuming you have the right tires, of course.

Depending on the model, the oil change can be somewhat challenging, as the oil must be forced into the clutch housing using a pump or from a cartridge, and not every filter can be removed without difficulty.

For these reasons, we have put together three practical kits for the AOC clutches commonly used in Volvo vehicles. The kits consist of the necessary filters and gaskets, as well as a manual suction-pressure pump and one liter of AOC oil. Given the fill volumes, one liter is usually sufficient for two to three oil changes.

To ensure your Haldex oil change is a success, the service kits are now available under the numbers 1103882, 1108072 and 1109704 in the shop.

Suitable for the following vehicles:

  • All Volvo AWD models with AOC clutch

Control arms and steering stops for Volvo C70, S70, and V70 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/control-arms-and-steering-stops-for-volvo-c70-s70-and-v70/3148/
The first-generation Volvo C70 has a steering angle limiter on the control arm in the form of a riveted plastic plate. This is also the case for the C70 and S70 models up to 2000, which are supposed to have the same chassis, but only for one control arm variant. There were two versions of the control arm, which differed in terms of the inner rubber bearings and their mounting.

These steering stops are subject to a certain amount of wear during normal driving. If they break at some point, they should be replaced. Otherwise, the wheels could rub in the wheel arch.

However, the steering stops are different on the otherwise identical control arms in the C70 and S70/V70. In the C70, the steering angle is limited noticeably earlier with a thicker steering stop. This was probably because the coupe was mainly delivered with wider wheels. For this reason, the vehicle manufacturer also assigned different spare part numbers.

The correct steering stops are clearly recognizable: on the S70 and V70, they are white with the standard tires, while on the C70 they are always blue. The control arms with the correct stops for the C70 are no longer available anywhere in the aftermarket. We can now offer the control arms with the correct steering stops exclusively for the C70.

We have had a sufficient quantity of the matching steering stops manufactured. The white and blue steering stops are manufactured exactly according to the original design and also correspond to it in terms of material. The blue steering stop can of course also be used in the S70 and V70 with wider tires. This requires the matching Volvo 8628497 and 8628498 control arms in the corresponding vehicle.

When we checked control arms from various manufacturers for the C70, we noticed the different material thicknesses under the contact surface of the steering stops. Most control arms are too thick at this point for the original recommended rivet 975577, which would not hold sufficiently or would not pull at all. So we have put together a matching set of blind rivets 1109262 in various lengths. This set always fits.

The two steering stop variants are now available under the numbers 1101392 and 1101403 in our shop, and the matching rivet set under 1109639. The wishbones can be found under the numbers 1047923 (left), 1047924 (right).

Make your classic car fit for the new season https://www.skandix.de/en/news/make-your-classic-car-fit-for-the-new-season/1617/
Classic cars and youngtimers need special attention after the winter break.

Enclosed we give you an overview of the most important maintenance work before the start of the season. Plus tips and hints on useful articles that will help you get your classic car back in shape.

Without electricity, nothing happens!

Check batterySome of us will find that checking the battery is an important issue. Anyone who has neglected to connect a charge maintenance device or forgot to disconnecting the battery has something to think about now.

If the vehicle battery is deeply discharged, it usually has to be replaced. If the battery at least still manages to turn the starter motor, slow charging of the battery is sufficient.

If the battery is not maintenance-free, check the fluid level and top up with distilled water if necessary. Never top up with battery acid.

Attention when working on the battery: Please observe the general safety regulations. Wear safety goggles, avoid open fire and sparks - please also do not smoke, danger of explosion!

Tip: Check the battery poles for corrosion, clean if necessary and seal with pole grease. The pole grease seals the seam between battery case and pole under the pole terminal. Do not apply in the area between pole terminal and pole, otherwise contact problems may occur.

Check the liquid levels

Liquid levelsIn this respect, particular attention should be paid:

  • Brake fluid
  • Antifreeze
  • Engine oil
  • Washer fluid

Even if there are no abnormalities here, you should check the garage floor for stains before the first start. Here it should be noted that vehicles with felt ring seals may have leaks after a long period of standing, which will disappear again after the first drive.

Stains in the area of the wheels require special attention, as they could be brake fluid. This should be investigated separately - the brake pressure should be stable and should not be "inflatable". If in doubt, have your car checked by a specialist. Do not drive off cluelessly - carefully carry out a few test braking manoeuvres at low speed.

The engine oil should also be specially checked. In addition to the oil level, also check the oil label: When was the last time the oil was changed? Depending on the mileage, but at least once a year, the engine oil and filter should be changed.

In summer as important as in winter: Check the radiator antifreeze! It also acts as corrosion protection in the engine and lubricates the water pump. The special requirements of your vehicle must be taken into account here.

Furthermore, the oil levels of the gearbox and differential should be checked once, especially, of course, if stains have appeared on the garage floor in the respective area. Of course, the vehicle must be lifted for this, and special tools are sometimes necessary. If a workshop has to be visited for this, it should be done very promptly. If leaks have occurred, they should be repaired immediately.
And if you can already look under the car, then take a close look at the age and condition of the fuel filter. This is often located under the car, especially in older injection engines, and is often forgotten!

A visual inspection of the engine compartment follows. Here we pay attention to the general condition of rubber parts, hoses and V-belts. There should be no cracks or leaks.

Now we can start the vehicle for the first time. Don't be surprised, the car can start badly, because the carburetors have to be filled with fresh gas first. Make sure that the oil pressure control lamp goes out.
If you are very careful, let the engine run without ignition before the first start until the oil pressure has built up. When the engine is running, we check in the engine compartment to see if there are any leaks while the engine is running.

Now you should check the light

LightIf no abnormalities are found we can take care of the lighting. Find a helper and switch the lights on one after the other - e.g. high beam, low beam, turn signal and brake light (this is where the helper comes in, because nobody can run behind the car that fast).

Check the horn at the same time. The windscreen wipers and the windscreen washer system are not to be neglected even in fair weather cars, how often we were surprised by a rain shower on the first spring drive...

The tyres

TyresNow let us turn our attention to black round wheels. Time flies and the tyres get older and older. It is recommended to check the age of the tires, because overaged tires become porous and also the grip decreases.

Tip: Find out more about the milage of your tyres and further maintenance hints
Continental - Tire care and maintenance

The tyre pressure is increased by cautious owners to prevent the tyre from flattening out during the winter. Do not forget to lower it again for driving. Also remember the spare wheel (As a rule, air must also be filled in here ;-).

Accessories complete?

AccessoriesIf we already rummage in the trunk, we can check immediately whether the first aid kit, triangle, warning vests (best for all passengers) and tools are still complete and comply with the regulations.

If we are honest, we like to take something out and forget to put it back... veteran motorists always have a roll of wire with them, besides the usual tools and spare parts. A hand fire extinguisher is also a recommended accessory.

The final touch

Final touchIf not already done before parking, the classic car will be happy about a thorough wash and paint care as well as the care of the rubber parts, chrome parts and the interior.

Now is also the right time to lubricate the door hinges and treat any stone chips.

Now you are well equipped with your classic car.
Below we have attached an overview of useful articles.

Retrofit kit for fuel pump safety shut-off for classic Volvo and Saab models https://www.skandix.de/en/news/retrofit-kit-for-fuel-pump-safety-shutoff-for-classic-volvo-and-saab-models/3136/
Carburetor engines with mechanical fuel pumps have a fundamental disadvantage when it comes to starting: the fuel in the float chamber evaporates. After the hot engine is turned off, this happens quite quickly in some vehicles due to their design and the radiant heat, while in others it takes longer. After three weeks, the float chamber is almost always pretty much empty, often leaving behind unsightly residues that can sometimes be sticky.

Now, when starting the engine, the pump first has to refill the chamber, which can take up to a minute and puts a considerable strain on the starter motor. This is not what it is designed for in continuous operation.

For classic cars, it therefore makes sense to convert to an electric fuel pump. This pumps for a short time when the ignition is switched on, and the float chamber is full before starting. Starting itself is then usually only a short procedure.

But what happens in the event of an accident? Or a breakdown? As long as no one turns off the ignition, the pump continues to run. At least when it is supplied directly by the ignition plus. This circumstance could literally cause dangerous situations.

In a Volvo B16, B18, or B20, for example, the exhaust manifold is located directly under the intake manifold, and if the engine is really hot, dripping fuel would immediately ignite there.

This must not be allowed to happen in reasonably modern fuel-injected engines, where the pump is always switched off when the engine is no longer running.

Even in carburetor engines, an electric pump can be controlled quite easily via a relay. As soon as the engine no longer receives an ignition spark, the fuel pump is also switched off.

To ensure the safe operation of an electric fuel pump, a relay kit for electric fuel pumps is now available in our shop under the number 1045316.

Spring check for your vehicle https://www.skandix.de/en/news/spring-check-for-your-vehicle/1619/
The weather is slowly getting better, the days longer - it's high time to check your vehicle.

SKANDIX shows you what you should pay attention to:

Change tyres

Change tyresNow that temperatures are rising permanently, you should put on summer tyres again. It is important to inspect the summer tyres for damage and check the tread depth before fitting. According to the law, the lower limit is 1.6mm, but the tyres lose grip even at a tread depth of less than 3mm.

You should also take this opportunity to check that all valve caps are present and undamaged. They protect the actual valves from dirt and moisture. Dirt ingress causes valves to leak and corrode. Metal valve caps are recommended, as standard plastic caps tend to tear or damage threads.

If you have the tyres changed in a workshop, you should have the brakes and chassis checked at this opportunity. If you change the tyres yourself, please follow the instructions for changing wheels in the car's owner's manual, especially if the car is equipped with a tyre pressure control system.

Winter tyres should be cleaned and labelled (front right, rear left, etc.) and stored in a cool, dark and dry place (such places are usually in the cellar ;-) ). Complete wheels should be stored with increased air pressure, one above the other.

Check expiry date of tyre sealant

Spring is here, the vehicle is polished to a high gloss and ready for the cosy Easter excursion. Annoying if the journey has to be interrupted by a flat tire. Even more annoying, however, is when the tyre sealant then no longer performs as expected.
Therefore, please note our Tip on tyre sealant.

Useful things

Clean up and check accessories

Tidy upFree the car from all superfluous things - they cost storage space and quickly add up to a weight that unnecessarily increases fuel consumption. If we ever rummage in the trunk, we can immediately check whether the first aid kit, warning triangle, warning vests (best for all passengers) and tools are still complete and comply with the regulations. Since 2022, two medical masks must also be carried in the first-aid kit.

Clean the trunk and interior of the vehicle

Clean the trunk and interiorExtensive ventilation and turning up the heating while driving will drive away a large part of the moisture, a thorough interior cleaning will do the rest. Take doormats out of the car to dry, many also change from rubber to textile mats in spring. Trunk mats prevent the clean floor from getting dirty again when you buy flowers. Don't forget to clean the windscreen from the inside, streaks can significantly reduce visibility.

Check exterior wash and paint

Außenwäsche und Lack kontrollierenVisiting a car wash is comfortable and environmentally friendly. After the winter, we recommend a thorough pre-wash with a steam jet to remove road salt residue and stubborn dirt. Check the paintwork after washing. Smaller stone chips can be treated with a touch-up paint at a reasonable price.

Wiper Check

Wiper CheckWiper blades should always be cleaned and checked regularly. They should be replaced at the latest when the wiper blades become greasy or rubbed.

Caution: Defective or dirty wiper blades can scratch the windscreen!

Finally, check the washing water level.

Useful things:

Engine compartment

Engine compartmentCheck the engine oil and coolant levels with the help of the operating instructions. You should leave the cleaning of the engine compartment to a specialist, engine washing can seriously damage electronic components.

17-inch "cross-spoke design" alloy wheels available for the Volvo 140, 164, 200, 700, 900, and P1800 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/17inch-crossspoke-design-alloy-wheels-available-for-the-volvo-140-164-200-700-900-and-p1800/3154/
Wheels with a classic cross-spoke design look great on almost any car. As early as 1972, the multi-piece BBS RS wheel was used in motorsports on the Ford Capri RS, and subsequently made a lasting impression on virtually every car and motorsports fan. A little later, it also became available as an accessory for many sporty street cars. The cross-spoke design helped define entire generations of vehicles, such as the Golf GTI or the BMW E30.

As early as the 1980s, the design was adopted by many wheel manufacturers and offered, usually with slight modifications. They were available as aftermarket wheels from Exip, Rial, ATS, or Borbet, for example.

Also in the 1980s, the cross-spoke design became an optional feature for many vehicle manufacturers; it was available as a factory-installed extra from BMW, Audi, Volvo, VW, and others. These wheels, mostly one-piece, were often manufactured by BBS or Ronal. The Volvo 200, 700, and 900 models, for example, also featured original Scorpius or Multi-X wheels from the vehicle manufacturer.

By the mid-1990s, cross-spoke wheels were slowly falling out of favor from the vehicle manufacturers’ perspective and were discontinued by most wheel manufacturers. Not least because smooth surfaces and low wind resistance were becoming increasingly important.

Less than ten years later, even aftermarket rims like the Rial Mesh had already become cult classics, and prices for a good used set of BBS RS literally skyrocketed. Many owners of modern classics wanted exactly these wheels for their prized vehicles and often paid astronomical prices for them. There are now several reproductions on the market, and the price situation has eased somewhat as a result. At least, that has been the case so far for vehicles with standard bolt patterns and offset depths.

However, the classic rear-wheel-drive Volvos have had a rather exotic variant since the early 1970s, with a bolt pattern of 5x108 mm and offset depths of 20 or 25 mm. For these models, either nothing was available, or they had to be laboriously adapted using adapter plates or spacers and registered with an individual approval.

We are therefore all the more pleased to now be able to offer a reissue of the classic design in 7.5x17” ET20 for many classic Volvos from around 1970 onward. The wheel is produced by a well-known manufacturer, features the correct bolt pattern for Volvo, and comes with a certification for many models up to 1998.

The two-piece cross-spoke wheel is now available in the shop under the number 1109905.

17-inch “Polaris” alloy wheel rims for Volvo 200, 700 and 900 available again https://www.skandix.de/en/news/17inch-polaris-alloy-wheel-rims-for-volvo-200-700-and-900-available-again/2983/
The Polaris is the largest wheel that Volvo offered for the rear-wheel-drive cars in the 200, 700 and 900 series. It is the only 17-inch wheel that was originally available for these series. Because of its rarity, it is now sought after and correspondingly expensive.

If you like it sporty and original and want to drive 225/45 R17 on your 940, there is hardly a better choice than the Polaris. However, since they are hard to find, we were able to convince a renowned wheel manufacturer to reissue a small series for us.

The new aluminum rims in “Polaris Style” are now available in our shop under the number 1014489!

Suitable for the following vehicles:

  • Volvo 140: all models
  • Volvo 164: all models
  • Volvo P1800, P1800E, P1800ES, P1800S: models from 1970

Polestar-Performance Valve cap set in gold https://www.skandix.de/en/news/polestarperformance-valve-cap-set-in-gold/3134/
Most drivers tend to neglect valve caps for their tires. The tire service usually replaces them anyway when the tires are changed, so there's no need to worry about them. And if one is missing, most people don't care, as they'll be replaced soon anyway.

But these mostly inconspicuous caps really don't deserve that: they protect the actual valve from dirt and moisture. If you drive without these caps, water and particles get onto the valve. These are then pressed onto the valve by centrifugal force while driving. The next time you check the air pressure, the pressure will have forced the dirt into the valve. In the worst case, it will then leak because a crumb is slightly blocking the valve.

Such caps are usually made of plastic, but in the case of metal valves, they can also be made of steel or aluminum. The latter has the advantage of being more durable. It is also usually more attractive, especially if the caps are anodized in color.

We can now offer the gold anodized valve caps from the high-quality Polestar Performance Package as a set of individual caps. In addition to protection and better grip, these caps even have an integrated rubber seal.

The really stylish gold valve caps are now available in our shop under the number 1092781.

A handy tip: don't throw away your old plastic caps. They are great for protecting grease nipples from dirt and moisture. Simply press them onto the greased nipple, whether on a classic car, garden tool, or trailer.

Protective sleeve ABS sensor front axle for Volvo 200, 700, and 900 https://www.skandix.de/en/news/protective-sleeve-abs-sensor-front-axle-for-volvo-200-700-and-900/3132/
In many cars, the ABS sensor with plastic housing is located directly in the steering knuckle. If there is any corrosion, this can cause the housing to become dented and leak quite quickly. In such vehicles, replacement is usually necessary after 8-15 years.

Unlike many other vehicles, the ABS sensors in the Volvo 200, 700, and 900 have a metal housing around the coil, which is in turn protected by a sleeve in the seat. This prevented the destructive pressure of corrosion on the steering knuckle for decades, giving the sensors a long life.

Often, the sensor cannot be removed without causing damage, and the sleeve falls apart because sometimes it is even necessary to drill. Although this sleeve has no technical function, if it is left out, the way is open for salt water and corrosion in the steering knuckle. Eventually, the sensor will be crushed by rust.

It is therefore worthwhile to reinsert a sleeve there. Advantageously, the sleeve is also inserted with grease to prevent capillary action from attacking it in the first place.

We have had this sleeve reproduced from corrosion-free plastic, and it serves the same purpose as the original brass part. It is also the first thing that can be crushed, but it is easier to remove during removal. However, that will certainly not be the case again for another thirty years!

The reproduced sleeve is now available in our shop under the number 1107265.
