Conversion kit, contains control arm, bushings and a spezial ball joint which allows to mount the new style control arm (with 10mm strong bolts to mount the ball joint) at front axles up to 2001.

Conversion according to SAAB SI 731-2472 (See Service instructions), but without drilling.

Service instructions:

SAAB SI 731-2472:

Control arms from 2002- are installed in vehicles up to 2001 during SAAB repairs. They replace the old version with 8mm bolts for the ball joint. Necessary work:

- Install a new rear control arm bushing (Yearsmodel from 2002-)
- Drill 10,4mm holes in the old ball joint.

When mounting the control arm, note that the nut of the rear bearing may only be tightened when the vehicle stands on the ground. Otherwise the bushing would wear quickly due to tensed tightening.
For the above reason the nut is not tightened even if the bearing is pre-mounted to the control arm! Do not forget to tighten, otherwise the bearing would rattle.
