Model 940: From model year 1993 up to vehicle identification number 117421 for the estate wagon(station wagon) and upto vehicle identification number 174372 for sedans the Koyo steering can be installed. This new steering rack must be connected using new hoses.(Volvo part # 3516374 and 9191449).

On the type plate in the engine compartment in the lowest service number the last digit:
1 for Koyo
2 for CamGear
3 for ZF
4 for TRW

WARNING! Please check the universal Joint of the Steering column on free movement and freedom from blacklash. A defective joint will destroy the steering rack.
