Replacing the bulb of the position lamp

22.12.2021Changing the bulbs is not always self-explanatory for some vehicles. We show how to change the bulb of the position light step by step on a Volvo V70 (P26).
Error message in the instrument cluster: BULB POS. LIGHT Before replacing the lamp: Switch off the illumination and turn the ignition key to position 0.
Defective position light.
Trunk inner side.
Open the flap.
Remove the cover.
View from the lower cover. Turn the lamp socket counterclockwise and remove it.
Lamp socket with defective bulb.
Replace the bulb.
The following steps are only for better handling during lamp replacement (not absolutely necessary, but recommended). Remove the loudspeaker cover (clipped only).
For better orientation, remove the speaker.
Pull out the red pin and press down the black clip above the red pin.
Remove the speaker.
Now you can also see the position light from above and remove it better.
