Condition of core returns

the percentage of refurbished spare parts is increasing steadily. The vehicle manufacturers support this development because it preserves the environment and limited resources.

But also remanufacturing has it´s limits, only parts that failed due to usual wear can be refurbished. Parts damaged by an accident, undue force or extensive corrosion can often not be rebuild and have to be scrapped.

The refund of core charges depends on the return of a re-usable part.

Recommendation for Volvo 200, 700:
In the air filter box before the air filter is a thermostat (1006579) which automatically controls the valve for hot and cold air intake. If the thermostat is broken, warm air is permanently sucked from the exhaust manifold. This can lead to breakdowns, and damage to the air-flow sensor. Please check this component which could be a possible cause for failure of the air-flow sensor.
