FLUID FILM Gel B FLUID FILM Gel is a highly viscous, soft, physiologically harmless and solvent-free single-layer corrosion protection coating with a very high lanolin content. FLUID FILM Gel B is available in transparent form as FLUID FILM Gel BN, or with white pigments as FLUID FILM Bel BW, other colours are available on request. FLUID FILM Gel B is mainly intended for ships, docks, offshore units, sheet piling and similar objects. In ballast water tanks, empty cells, coffer dams and similarly stressed areas where, for cost reasons, substrate preparation by sandblasting cannot be provided and a durable corrosion protection comparable with epoxy coatings is expected. Further fields of application are the protection of accessible areas on motor vehicles and the securing of bolted connections. The application temperature is between -10 °C (263 K) and 40 °C (313 K). In order to achieve the required spray pressure at the nozzle at low temperatures without problems, we recommend preheating the material to approx. 25 °C (298 K) with industrial heaters or hot air blowers.

- economical in use and uncomplicated in processing. A layer thickness of up to more than 1,000 µm can be applied in a single operation (by airless spraying)
- sprayable with commercially available adopted airless equipment (over 45:1 compression) Application is possible with brush or roller
- Cost-effective processing method when spraying using lances, which in the majority of cases make the erection of a scaffolding unnecessary
- 1-component product with excellent adhesion even on intact old coatings
- Renewal coatings can be applied with FLUID FILM products immediately after removing all loose dirt
- as corrosion protection for steel parts and other metal parts during transport, storage and processing in the production plant
- Observance of the dew point during processing is not necessary as long as no condensation water is detected
- highest resistance to aqueous media
- temperature stable from -45°C (248 K) to approx. 70°C (343 K)
- in case of coating damage FLUID FILM Gel B has a limited self-healing effect. After stepping on the tanks no re-application is necessary

FLUID FILM AS-R spray cans comply with MIL-Spec C-23050.
