Filter Interior air

21.12.2021This manual shows how to replace the Interior air filter and explain the two different slots for the standard or the active-carbon filter.
Height Comparison of the filters.
Needed tools:
Torx TX20 bit
Torx TX25 Screwdriver or TX25 bit
Remove the panel below the glovebox.
Carefully lever the clamp at the right side.
Remove the panel.
The lid of the heaterbox is mounted with 4 screws. The arrow points to the screw for which the TX20 bit is needed. This screw is hard to reach.
Remove the lid.
There are 2 slots in the heaterbox.
The rear slot is for the active-carbon filter (Multifilter).
The front slot is the for the standard filter.
Remove the old filter.
New filters have preconceived folding points which are necessary to install the filter. Without the folding points the filter will not slide in.
Put in the new filter: This is the Multiflter which goes into the rear slot.

Put in the new filter: This is the Standard filter which goes into the front slot.
Now lid and panel can be reassembled.
